Getting to Roatan
By Air
There are now a number of direct flights to Roatan from the USA and one from Italy. If you cannot get a direct flight then the easiest route is to fly to San Pedro Sula on the mainland and then get an internal flight to the island.
Direct flights to Roatan now include:
TACA - depart Miami, Newark and Houston
Continental - departs Houston
Delta - departs Atlanta
By Land/Sea
Being an island, the only way to get here if you are travelling by land in Honduras is by ferry. There is an ultra modern ferry running between La Ceiba and the island twice a day.
Departure times from La Ceiba are 9:30am and 4:30pm.
Departure times from Roatan are 6:00am and 2:30pm
Ticket prices are around $25 (L.500) each way and the journey takes roughly 1hr 15mins.
